Teaching

Development of a research-based and interdisciplinary course with the tentative title “Social Rights and Policy: Comparative perspectives on access to justice”. The course is tailored for students enrolled in MA-programmes in law, humanities or social sciences as well as practitioners working with street-level implementation of the rule of law or welfare in Global South countries. The course is developed in collaboration with partners in Brazil, Georgia, India, and South Africa.

Research

Interdisciplinary research in the fields of the rule of law and welfare policies in the Global South with particular emphasis on encounters between state and individuals and the nexus of institutions that uphold the rule of law and ensure access to welfare rights. By combining law and political science, JUST SOCIETY provides multiple perspectives on what constitutes a just society.

Public engagement

JUST SOCIETY hosts events such as webinars, workshops, and conferences to facilitate a dialogue among academic scholars, public servants, civil society, and the public. The long-term aim is to create a broad network of partners who share an interest in our mission.
