Pia Heike Johansen is nominated for the SDG Award 2022

This year, the Sustainable Development Goals Award will be presented for the fourth time to a person, company or organization that has made a special contribution to the SDGs in Denmark.

The award has three categories, and our rural researcher Pia Heike Johansen is nominated in the category 'Change Award', which is given for the most innovative and effective idea or invention, and which also has the biggest system-changing potential.

Pia Heike Johansen is nominated for starting Denmark's first mini spinning mill, "The Wild Spinning Mill" - a spinning mill where machines are specially built to handle small amounts of wool which can be turned into clothing and other textiles.
