National
The department collaborates with National Allergy Research Center, Herlev/Gentofte and has several joint PhD students within type IV allergy. There are joint projects (PhD, postdoc) on hand eczema and atopic dermatitis with The Research Unit of Dematology at Bispebjerg Hospital. In addition, collaboration with the Department of Plastic Surgery, Copenhagen University Hospital on skin cancer (PhD).
The department participates in national research collaborations regarding various national databases DermBIO and SCRATCH.
Project collaborations include the University of Southern Denmark (e.g. The Institute of Psychology and General Practice), the Emergency Medical Service South, and research units at Odense University Hospital (e.g. Emergency Medicine, ENT, Oncology, Hematology, Occupational Medicine, Pathology and the Steno Diabetes Center).
International
The Department of Dermatology and Allergy has four adjunct professors within psoriasis and quality of life, drug allergy, basic allergy testing, and urticaria/angioedema. The department is represented in collaborations with EAACI (food allergy guideline, drug allergy, including excipient allergy, adolescents with severe allergy, ocular allergy, urticaria, mastocytosis).
The Department is a part of GALEN and is involved in projects on anaphylaxis, atoic dermatitis, and urticaria, and is certified as a GALEN Center of Excellence in atopic dermatitis, urticaria, angioedema and anaphylaxis.
Collaboration on the characterization of new food allergens with the Center for Pathophysiology, Infectiology and Immunology, Austria.
Department of Clinical Research and University of Southern Denmark
The vision of the Department of Clinical Research is to create the patient treatment of the future through research and education in at strong collaboration with Odense University Hospital.
