SDU Center for Energy Informatics Hosts CEBE RF6 Meeting on Sufficiency and Joint Research

Odense, Denmark – September 21st, 2026: The SDU Center for Energy Informatics welcomed researchers from across Denmark for a full-day meeting of Research Field 6 (RF6) in CEBE, the Villum-funded programme Civil Engineering and the Green Transition in the Built Environment. The day marked the start of closer integration and joint work among the four partner universities: Aalborg University, Aarhus University, the Technical University of Denmark, and the University of Southern Denmark.
RF6 focuses on sufficiency, well-being, and energy efficiency. It builds on the idea that a more sustainable built environment is about more than reducing CO₂ emissions. It is also about how buildings affect people's health and well-being and how they meet real needs.
The day was all about collaboration and bringing together contributions from across the research field. PhD students and postdocs from all four universities presented their projects, which set the stage for a joint review paper and a workshop on sufficiency, where the participants discussed how to work together on the topic going forward.
