    The Danish media archive Infomedia is now called Retriever

    Infomedia and Retriever have merged, and Infomedia’s media archive has therefore been transferred to Retriever.

    No Access to Oxford University Press

    University Library of Southern Denmark, together with the consortium of Danish research libraries, has decided to terminate negotiations with Oxford University Press, as OUP has not been willing to accommodate the Danish mandate of no price increases, immediate access to Danish research, etc.

    Changes in access to American research databases

    The University Library has observed changes in the availability of certain government-funded American research databases. This is due to adjustments in the U.S. authorities' priorities and funding of national information resources as a result of Executive Order 14222, which is a consequence of the DOGE initiative.

    The agreement ensures immediate open access to the publisher's version of Danish publications in a wide range of Taylor & Francis' scientific journals. The agreement runs for 5 years, 2024-2028.

    The prices of electronic resources are increasing significantly in these years. At the moment, negotiations are underway with Springer Nature, which is one of the largest players on the market, and this could have consequences for researchers and students at SDU.
