Specialization in Electrical Energy Technology

As part of the bachelor of engineering programme in Electronics you can choose an academic specialization in Electrical Energy Technology.

Develop and implement sustainable energy solutions

In the near future, there will be major changes in the way the world produces, distributes and uses energy. The electrical power grid is changing rapidly all over the world, and the development is accelerating and becoming increasingly complex, e.g. due to the climate goals and technological progress. In the future, a larger share of the energy must come from sustainable energy sources such as wind turbines and solar cells.

Therefore, there is a great need for engineers with skills in electronics and electrical energy technology. In the Electrical Energy Technology profile, you will have the study the same first two semesters as the other Electronics students learning topics like analogue electronics, embedded systems and signal processing. From third semester, you will start to specialize in electrical energy technology topics like power systems modeling and renewable energy technology. On sixth semester, you will complete your internship followed by the final project on seventh semester. As an electronics engineer with a profile in electrical energy technology, you could help expand and develop the power solutions to be far more sustainable and green.
