A huge part of the global energy consumptions depends on fossil fuels. Many countries are in the process of reducing their consumption of fossil fuels. Climate policy is a main driver (the reduction of anthropogenic emission of greenhouse gases), but also the geopolitical issue regarding security of supply is important.
In our research collaboration Green Transition, we will focus primarily on legal issues regarding energy policy issues within the EU and Denmark. However, Green Transition is in its nature an interdisciplinary initiative which will seek to advance environmental sustainability by bolstering legal frameworks, promoting access to justice and implementing redistributive policies. Our focus extends beyond the individual to encompass broader societal and ecological well-being.
From a legal and interdisciplinary perspective, we will investigate the intricate web of institutions influencing interactions between the state and citizens concerning rights, welfare, business and environmental stewardship. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen transparency, uphold the rule of law and ensure equitable access to sustainable resources and services.
Green Transition are present at SDU in Odense and Esbjerg.
