Magazine focuses on the future of rural areas

A new magazine gathers knowledge and experiences about the world's rural areas from researchers and practitioners.

What is your image of the world's rural areas and what do you think the future holds for them? That was the theme of a summer school organized by ZEIT-Stiftung in 2021 and 2022 with CLF as one of a number of partners.

At the summer school, researchers, practitioners, and local actors shed light on the diversity of rural areas, and the content of the summer school has now been disseminated in a new magazine "Rural Futures".

The magazine emerges from the participants' dialogue and exploration in the countryside and explores themes such as the rural narrative and contribution to a sustainable future. It also features interviews with centre director Egon Noe and rural researcher Annette Aagaard Thuesen on rural identity.
