Attend free seminar at Centre for Industrial Electronics

If you have a personal or professional interest in power electronics, please mark 5 March in your calendar. On this day, SDU Electrical Engineering (SDU EE) and Centre for Industrial Electronics (CIE) are hosting a two-hour seminar allowing the audience to learn about the latest research achievements.

Recently, SDU strengthened its electronics profile with the foundation of CIE in Sønderborg. In collaboration with Sønderborg Municipality, Danfoss, LINAK and the Region of Southern Denmark, the university established a lighthouse within power electronics technologies.

Southern Denmark occupies an exceptional position of strength within energy efficient technologies, but the lighthouse is extending far beyond national borders. The upcoming SDU EE & CIE seminar on 5 march is a good example. The organisers have succeeded in attracting Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nando Kaminski, a capacity from Bremen University, who will give a speech on Model-Based Lifetime Prediction of Power Semiconductor Devices.

- One of our objectives is to help industry manufacture smaller and more compact components. We can assist in cutting manufacturing costs. In this way, we take part in maintaining and improving the competitiveness of manufacturers. The seminar is a possibility to learn about exactly these topics, says Thomas Ebel, Head of CIE.
