In today's knowledge economies, universities are expected to translate and disseminate research and innovation broadly, contributing to growth, competitiveness, better regulation, and quality of life. To stimulate the broader impact and uptake of research-based products and advice, incentives and metrics need to be aligned. At this conference, the organizers together with the Danish Presidency and the European Commission will address the need for reforming research assessment, present progress on CoARA, and highlight drivers of change in the broader ecosystem of science, innovation, and technology.
