In the Master’s programme in pharmacy (Master of Science in Pharmacy), you will, for example, learn, about the properties of active ingredients in medicinal products and their importance to the design of pharmaceutical formulations. You will also gain experience with the development process for new medicinal products, ranging from pharmaceutical screening to final registration and marketing.

You will also gain insight into the mechanisms of action of medicinal products at cellular level and organ level. In addition, you will learn about rational pharmacotherapy for the most common diseases, including choice of preparation, dosage, important side effects and interactions between medicinal products.

Clinical pharmacy or technological pharmacy?

The Master’s programme in pharmacy offers you the choice between two programme profiles:

  • Clinical pharmacy is for students who want to specialise their knowledge in the use of medicinal products.
  • Technological pharmacy is for students who want to specialise their knowledge in development, production and quality assurance of medicinal products.

The academic standards are high regardless of which profile you choose, and you acquire insight into the latest research aimed at understanding and solving pharmaceutical and chemical-biological problems.
