Overall, the PhD programme is a research programme, where you complete an independent scientific project that culminates in a PhD thesis. The education qualifies you for carrying out research, development and teaching tasks at an international level in the private and public sectors. You can typically apply for enrolment in the PhD programme after completing a Master’s degree programme. You typically complete your project with two supervisors and you will most often be affiliated with the department where your principal supervisor is employed. You will be part of the research group that your principal supervisor is affiliated with at the department.
The education programme is carried out in accordance with the current PhD Executive Order, which sets the framework for all PhD programs in Denmark. In addition, the PhD School under SAMF (SOC SCI) has laid down rules and guidelines which are specifically targeted at PhD students enrolled in Business and Social Sciences.
