Note: If you have not yet obtained your high school diploma, we can only provide an estimate of your qualifications, not an actual pre-assessment.

Documentation must be in English, German, or a Scandinavian language

If your diploma is issued in another language as English, German or a Scandinavian language, you must also attach an official translation into one of these languages. If it’s not translated by an authorized translator as required for the admission application, we reserve the right to deviate from the pre-assessment if an authorized translation provides a basis for a different understanding of the individual course level.

Payment for Non-EU/EEA applicants

Non-EU/EEA-citizens are required to pay application fees to get an assessment. If you want a pre-assessment for the next intake, you are required to pay the application fee already now.

  1. Go to ApplicationfeeSDU to pay the 750 DKK/100 EUR application fee. We only accept credit card payments.
  2.  Add your NETS receipt for the payment to your application for pre-assessment. Take a screen shot of your done payment. It is your own responsibility to have that receipt ready in time. Once we have received the payment, we will assess your documents. Without the receipt, the pre-assessment can not be made.

When you apply for admission at SDU via www.optagelse.dk, please upload the payment receipt and the pre-assessment together with your application. The admission system opens on 1 February with deadline 15 March, noon.

See if you are exempt from paying the fees

A Danish residence permit may qualify for an exemption in some cases.

You are exempted from paying the application fee if you either hold a permanent residence permit or a residence permit which exempts you from paying application/tuition fees.

If you are exempted from paying the fees, you must upload a scan of your residence permit (front and back page of your opholdskort) including the decision letter which describes the legal basis of the permit alongside all the other educational documents when asking for a pre-assessment. In case your residence permit does not exempt you from paying application/tuition fees, we contact you and require you to pay the fees within a specific deadline. Once the payment is through, we start assessing your documents.

If your application contains all needed documents, we aim to have completed your pre-assessment before 1 December.
