The research primarily focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms that affect the development of thrombosis and thromboinflammatory diseases. A better understanding of this can contribute to the development of better prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, prognostication, and treatment of patients with thrombosis and thrombosis-related diseases.
The research is based on close collaboration with other departments at Hospital South West Jutland, such as gastroenterology, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, as well as gynecology and obstetrics. In addition, there is significant national and international cooperation.
