At the conference, we welcomed both Danish and international speakers. Ask Elklit from the Danish Center of Psychotraumatology opened the conference with a historical review of the PTSD concept and its gradual recognition in diagnostic manuals.

With Maria Louison Vang as moderator, the conference concluded with a panel debate where participants actively engaged with questions.
Once again this year, the Danish Center of Psychotraumatology was pleased to bring together many professionals for a conference on the significant changes that are forthcoming in the understanding of trauma diagnoses, which will impact everyone in the field.
Stress Reactions: A Historical Perspective
Professor Ask Elklit from the Knowledge Center for Psychotraumatology opened the conference with a historical overview of the PTSD concept and its gradual recognition in diagnostic manuals.

ICD-11 adjustment disorder
Professor Evaldas Kazlauskas discussed adjustment reactions as they are described in the new ICD-11, and the Lithuanian study on the prevalence of adjustment reactions.

Professor Philip Hyland and Professor Mark Shevlin talked about the current status and development of ICD-11.

Identification and Treatment of Prolonged Grief Reaction
Professor Maja O'Connor from Aarhus University gave a presentation on prolonged grief disorder and the development of a new self-report tool and clinical interview used to identify the condition. The tool, the Aarhus Prolonged Grief Disorder Scale (A-PGDs), was developed in collaboration with Professor Mark Shevlin, who was also present at the conference.

International perspectives on ICD-11 prolonged grief disorder
Professor Mark Shevlin from Ulster University followed up on Maja's presentation by discussing the work involved in developing, concretizing, and conceptualizing a new diagnosis. The tool, the Aarhus Prolonged Grief Disorder Scale (A-PGDs), was developed in collaboration with Professor Mark Shevlin, who was also present at the conference.
