A Prospective Study of the Mediating Role of Tonic Immobility and Peritraumatic Dissociation on the 4 DSM-5 Symptom Clusters of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

This study studied Israeli civilians present during the rocket shelling in 2021. The aim was to test if tonic immobility and peritraumatic dissociation mediated the relationship between perceived threat and posttraumatic stress symptoms.

Current Research project on motives and mental health in self-harm

The purpose of the study is to contribute to knowledge and understanding of self-harm and related concepts, including risk factors, mental health, role of sex, gender, and sexuality, and involvement in e-communities focusing on self-harm. Data collection for this project is currently on hold. Find out more on the project here.

ISCPAN webinar on using standardized, validated measurement tools with children exposed to abuse

In September 2023, the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (ISPCAN) will host a conference where researchers from the Danish National Centre for Psychotraumatology will participate. Together with colleagues from Lithuania and Norway, they will present projects on the development, implementation, and validation of our story stem test Odense Child Trauma Screening (OCTS) in the three countries respectively.
