In an article published in Politiken, Associate Professor Dorthe Mølgaard Christiansen explains that an encounter with a wolf may potentially leave deep psychological traces. She points out that, in some cases, such an experience can be perceived as so threatening that it may trigger PTSD. At the same time, she emphasizes the importance of the individual’s perception of danger and highlights that previous exposure to stressors and traumatic events may be crucial in determining the risk of developing PTSD.
