January Conference 2026

2025 marked a milestone for psychotraumatology in Denmark, as well as the year in which Professor Ask Elklit received the prestigious ”Wolter de Loos Award for Distinguished Contribution to Psychotraumatology in Europe” from the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies in recognition of his pioneering and significant contributions to shaping the field of European psychotraumatology.

2026 will also mark the year in which Professor Ask Elklit hands over the leadership of the Danish Center of Psychotraumatology to the next generation of researchers.

On this occasion, we invite you to a conference entitled: “The Past, Present, and Future of Psychotraumatology: Status of 40 Years of Trauma Research.” A reception will be held following the conference.
