First POLIMA Center of Excellence PhD
3 June 2026, Martin Koch Nørgaard successfully defended his PhD thesis
Last week, Martin Koch Nørgaard successfully defended his PhD thesis with the title 'Near-field Explorations of Highly Confined Polaritons'. The committee members were:
- Jer-shing Huang, PD Dr. habil., Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (Leibniz-IPHT)
- Elizaveta Semenova, Professor, Technical University of Denmark
- Jonas Beermann, Associate Professor, SDU Nano Optics, Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark
The PhD defense was also a milestone for the POLIMA DNRF Center of Excellence, as Martin Koch Nørgaard was the first PhD student employed when the center was started in 2023 based on a grant from the Danish National Research Foundation.
