Quantum Optoelectronics Laboratory

Research Focus
We specialize in combined optical and electronic characterization of quantum materials. Our core activities include:

  • Optical spectroscopy, including photoluminescence, absorption, and time-resolved measurements
  • Photon statistics and single-photon detection to probe quantum emission processes
  • Electronic transport measurements, enabling direct correlation between optical and electronic properties
  • Exploration of quantum phenomena in 2D materials and van der Waals heterostructures, including excitonic effects, correlated states, and non-equilibrium dynamics

Instrumentation
The laboratory is built around a cryogenic attoDRY1000 platform with custom-designed inserts, enabling low-temperature and multi-modal measurements. Our setups allow:

Confocal optical spectroscopy under controlled environmental conditions
Lifetime and photon-correlation measurements
Simultaneous optical and electronic transport experiments

This unique combination of capabilities enables comprehensive studies of quantum materials, linking microscopic optical response to macroscopic transport and facilitating the discovery of novel optoelectronic effects.
