Interview with Marie-Elisabeth Lei Pihl on literature and identity politics

Novels and poems can teach us something important about identity politics

POV International features an interview with Marie-Elisabeth Lei Pihl on her new book, Real Recognition. Marie-Elisabeth says that though political debates often treat identity as something fixed and solid, literature shows us that identity can actually be fluid, mutable, and flexible - an insight with significant consequences for vexed contemporary discussions of race and gender.

The interview, in Danish, can be read here.
