FNUG’s Poster Sessions provide participants with an opportunity to network and explore potential collaborations with researchers, staff, and students affiliated with FNUG. The format is open and informal and works well as an entry point into the research environment.
The Poster Session will conclude with an exhibition and mutual presentation of the posters created during the session.

Presentation by Maria Kirstine Østergaard Interdisciplinary Work with Models in Science Education In this talk, experiences and findings from an intervention project in upper secondary school will be presented, in which students work with models across physics, chemistry, and biology. The project investigates how encounters between different disciplinary modelling traditions can contribute to developing and nuancing students’ understanding of the concept of models, and how models can at the same time serve as a shared focal point for interdisciplinary work. Drawing on concrete teaching activities and examples of students’ work, the talk discusses how students’ understanding of models develops through both modelling activities and reflection on the purpose, function, and use of models. The project’s preliminary findings and perspectives for interdisciplinary science education will also be presented. |
