NiSE webinar, 6 October 2026, 2:00-4:00 PM

At this NiSE webinar, we explore how a school and a team of teachers can work towards developing a strong STEM culture.

Drawing on the place of STEM within the educational landscape, from international trends to national and local perspectives, the webinar highlights an area where knowledge is still limited: how a sustainable STEM culture can be developed and embedded in practice.

Using a case study from Klostermarkskolen in Aalborg, participants will gain insights into key initiatives, successes, and challenges in the school's efforts to establish a strong STEM profile. The webinar will also present the most important milestones that, over the past ten years, have contributed to both the school's STEM development and the professional growth of the teachers involved.

The experiences from the case study will be discussed in light of research-based knowledge on professional learning and development, highlighting key factors in STEM-related change processes. The webinar concludes with concrete examples of STEM teaching units and didactic approaches that may inspire further development within participants' own schools.
