Christos Tserkezis is an SDU Doctor of Engineering and Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, and a founding member of POLIMA--Center for Polariton-driven Light-Matter Interactions.
His research focuses on the theory of light-matter interactions at the nanoscale, combining elements of classical electromagnetism, quantum physics and condensed-matter physics.Over the years, he has been interested in classical and quantum plasmonics, polaritons, nanophotonics, Mie resonances in dielectrics, electron-beam spectroscopies, weak and strong coupling of quantum emitters, non-Hermitian photonics, chiroptical and magneto-optical effects, photonic crystals and metamaterials.
He serves as topical editor in The Journal of the Optical Society of America B.
