In POV International Marlene Jørgensen writes about a new PLOS ONE study by DaWS researchers. SDU Professor Pieter Vanhuysse, together with researchers Márton Medgyesi and Robert Gal analysed the distribution of social benefits and taxes across socio-economic status and age groups. The results show that welfare perform relatively well in smoothing income over the lifecycle, as they mainly distributed across age groups.
