DIAS researcher is #4 on TwiLi Index for Denmark
You probably already know the h-index; measuring the productivity and citation impact of a scholar. The TwiLi Index measures the social media impact of researchers and has three DIAS-affiliates on the list – with a DIAS Fellow in top five!
Three DIAS researchers made it to the list, which covers all researchers in Denmark. Meet DIAS Associated Nicolai Foss, DIAS Chair in Biology Carsten Rahbek, and DIAS Fellow James Rogers. Three excellent researchers who alongside their studies manage to communicate their results and be in dialogue with international networks on an extraordinary level.
The list is developed by social media-expert Mike Young, owner of the Mike Young Academy, who has created a formula measuring in a fair way:
“You could just count followers. But the trouble with just counting followers is that social media platform followings are susceptible to a runaway, Matthew, effect. To slightly misquote the Good Book, ‘for every one who has followers, more will be given…’ People are more likely to follow the accounts that already have many followers.”

DIAS Fellow James Rogers is a natural talent in the art of performing on social media. Here he shares all of his activities in the media, a varieties of collaborations, publications, lectures, podcasts etc. And he engages with other social media-users with shares, likes and comments.
This way Dr. James Rogers reaches out and creates conversation. Conversations in which he shares his research both within his network and outside of the university – and makes possibility for new collaborations.
