DIAS and CWS researchers provide evidence to major new UN report

The report focused on the troubling global diffusion of targeted killings through armed drones and the concerning precedent set by the assassination of Iranian General Quassem Soleiman in January 2020.

Presented to the 44th session of UN Human Rights Council by Special Rapporteur Agnes Callamard, the report has been featured by the New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, and the Wall Street Journal (amongst others). President Trump’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, has also released a statement in reaction to the report’s findings.
