Jacob Terndrup Heiden is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Polariton-driven Light-Matter Interactions (POLIMA). He obtained his bachelor's degree (2018) from the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), after which he completed his master's (2020) and Ph.D. degree (2025) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) under the supervision of Min Seok Jang. At KAIST, his research focused on ultra-high confinement of phonon-polaritons in two-dimensional polar crystals.

Jacob specialises in highly confined polaritons and control thereof; and is currently investigating light-matter coupling in two-dimensional materials, with particular emphasis on the optoelectronic properties of semiconductors under extreme conditions.
