Toke Marstrand Pontoppidan Lindhard has been a PhD student at POLIMA since December 2025 under the supervision of Assist. Prof. P. André D. Gonçalves. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Aarhus University, with a focus on theoretical fundamental physics. His bachelor’s thesis addressed the renormalization of Abelian gauge theories. Toke continued at Aarhus University for his Master’s degree, where he developed a special interest in quantum topology. He wrote his MSc thesis on simulations of Chern insulators and edge-state injection under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Anne E. B. Nielsen. This work subsequently led to research on projective measurements in many-body systems. During his Master’s studies, Toke participated in an exchange program at Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, where he had the opportunity to collaborate with researchers associated with CERN. His current research interests at POLIMA focus on light–matter interactions, particularly polaritons and their creation via inelastic electron tunneling processes.
