Daniel Miranda has been a PhD student in POLIMA since April 2025, under the orientation of prof. Paulo André Gonçalves. He has started his Bachelor’s degree in Brazil, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, where he worked with heterostructure fabrication and transport experiments, with a focus on twisted bilayer graphene. In 2020, he applied for the University of Minho, in Braga, Portugal, where he obtained his degree, with specialization in experimental photonics. In 2024, he received his Master’s degree in theoretical Condensed Matter Physics from the same institution, with a focus on topology, localization theory and quasi-periodicity in 1D systems, under orientation of prof. Nuno Peres. His current research and interests lie on light-matter interactions and polaritonic phenomena, especially in tunable graphene-based systems.
