By Louise Skovborg Just, , 5/24/2023

Christos Tserkezis has been serving the Journal of the Optical Society of America B (JOSAB) as an assistant editor since January 2021.
With his apprenticeship under topical editor Prof. Hong Wei (Chinese Academy of Science) coming to an end, Editor in Chief Prof. Kurt Busch,
and the journal's Board of Editors decided to promote him to Topical Editor, responsible for manuscripts related to condensed-matter physics
on a broad sense.

JOSAB is one of the oldest and most traditional journals of the Optica Publishing Group (formerly Optical Society of America),
with more than a century of history. It specializes on the fundamentals of the interaction of light with matter, including quantum optics,
nonlinear optics, and laser physics. Its editorial board consists of a combination of recognized and emerging researchers in the fields
of atom optics and cold atoms, integrated and fiber optics, metamaterials, nanophotonics, photonic crystals, photorefractive optics and holography,
physics of optical materials, spectroscopy, THz optics, ultrafast phenomena.
