To the Inaugural Meeting of the SDU Workshop on Applied Microeconomics

This semi-annual workshop aims to bring together researchers investigating issues of relevance to current public policy. It includes presentations from all fields of applied microeconomics, including (but not restricted to): labor, health and development economics, empirical industrial organization, public finance, economics of education, economics of crime, and demography. The papers should pay particular attention to the identification of causal relationships using rigorous econometric techniques.

The workshop will last for one day. The number of participants is limited to 25, with a maximum of 8 invited and contributed papers. The workshop programme, travel and accommodation assistance are provided in the right column at this webpage.

 

The workshop is financed by the Department of Business and Economics at the University of Southern Denmark. Participation is free of charge and includes registration, lunch, and refreshments. Participants are expected to cover their own transportation and accommodation costs (if needed).

Researchers interested in presenting their work should send an extended abstract or preferably a full paper to meltem.daysal@sam.sdu.dk no later than September 30, 2014. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by October 15, 2014.
