Research interests: health and inequalities in aging, social determinants of health, infectious diseases in global health.
Julia is a Postdoc at CPop. She is co-PI of the project “Challenges of Ageing Populations: Physical Functioning, Cognitive Functioning, and Health Economic Consequences,” funded by ROCKWOOL Fonden, and contributes to projects on excess deaths due to COVID-19 and social implications of indexation of the pension age in Denmark. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Maryland. For her doctoral dissertation, she examined the spread of infectious diseases in Guinea during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa.
