Much of CPop's research work relies on extensive databases. Our researchers contribute to the management and development of several databases in both human and non-human demography.


Our researchers contribute to the management and development of several databases in both human and non-human demography. Some of these databases are open access, while others require permissions for access.

CPop develops and manages the following databases on non-human species:

Matrix population models databases

  • Plant Matrix Database (COMPADRE)
  • Animal Matrix Database (COMADRE)

Species 360

Demographic Index of Species Knowledge (DISKo)

and human databases:

Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE)
