Research interests: Wellbeing and survival of oldest-old, health and inequalities in ageing, method development for ageing research, Covid-19 excess deaths.
Cosmo Strozza is a Postdoc at the Interdisciplinary Centre on Population Dynamics. His research focuses on mortality and health patterns and inequalities at older ages. His doctoral dissertation was about the health conditions of oldest-old people in Denmark and Italy. By considering health as a complex concept to be studied, he analyzed different health dimensions, the relationships between them, their deterioration over time and the demographic, socio-economic and behavioral determinants of health among the oldest-old.
