Research interests: Wellbeing and survival of oldest old, health and inequalities in ageing, method development for ageing research
Cosmo Strozza is a PhD student at the Interdisciplinary Centre on Population Dynamics. His research focuses on health and mortality patterns at older ages. His doctoral dissertation is about the health conditions of oldest old people in Denmark and Italy. By considering health as a complex concept to be studied, he analyzes different health dimensions, the relationships between them, their deterioration over time and the demographic, socio-economic and behavioral determinants of health among the oldest old people.
