Through the Prism of Borders exhibition at the National Museum of History, Sofia, Bulgaria

The highlight of our annual consortium meeting was the opening of Lungomare's exhibition Trough the Prism of Borders at the National History Museum of Bulgaria on 8 April. The exhibition features five artists' perceptions of the Bulgarian-Greek-Turkish borderlands. It is integrated into the museum's general exhibition and fosters a deeper understanding of borderlands as spaces of connection rather than division, prompting reflection on historical omissions, collective memory and shaping contemporary dialogue on national and transnational identities. It presents borders as porous, ever-shifting zones of tension and transformation.

The exhibition will be on display in Sofia until 29 August 2025.
