Taylor Swift, the new president, and ‘the land of the free’: DIAS becomes official Content Partner at Word Festival 2025
Good news for Swifties and those who can’t get enough of the battle for the Oval Office. A new partnership between the Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) and Word Festival ensures a new stage and prominent researchers at the festival in 2025. You can also look forward to two free pre-events in Autumn 2024, zeroing in on the phenomenon Taylor Swift and the upcoming election in November.
The Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) will bring top-tier research with a playful twist to the forefront at Word Festival 2025. With the past, present, and future of the United States of America as an overarching theme, all presentations under the DIAS umbrella will take place on the brand-new stage at Odense Adelige Jomfrukloster on Albani Torv 6.
“We are thrilled about the opportunity to speak to a broader audience. The partnership with the Word Festival provides us with a unique platform to showcase the vast knowledge and all the skills we have at DIAS,” says Sten Rynning, professor and director of the Danish Institute for Advanced Study.
In anticipation of the 2025 festival, Word Festival and DIAS are hosting two free pre-events that give curious minds a taste of what the DIAS stage will bring. If you want to participate in one or both events in person, we recommend signing up immediately to secure your seat. Both pre-events are also available for streaming.
“The partnership with DIAS is a tremendous asset for the Word Festival,” says Anne Dyrehauge, director of the Word Festival. She continues, “Their dedication to curiosity-driven research enriches the festival’s programme with plenty of substance. And with all three days in play, we gain a fantastic insight into the USA’s history, present, and future, which fits perfectly with our theme.”
