Oliver Baumann

Oliver Baumann is a Professor of Strategy and Organization Design at SDU Business School and Head of the Strategic Organization Design research unit. His research examines the intersection of organization, strategy, and technological change. Treating organizations as complex adaptive systems, he uses computational modeling, experiments, and digital trace data to understand how formal design interacts with human behavior. Specifically, his current work investigates how decision rights evolve in human-AI systems, how platform dominance reshapes news ecosystems and democratic discourse, and how coordination emerges in Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).
