Lukas Galke Poech is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on advancing AI safety through understanding behavior and inner workings of AI agents based on large language models. Before joining SDU, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, studying how language emerges when neural network agents engage in communication games. In the context of the DDC, he is particularly interested in preventing systemic risks posed by advanced AI technology in democratic societies. Website: https://lgalke.github.io/
