Denmark’s security perspectives on USA, China, and Russia in Greenland: How great power threats made Danish politicians talk about independent Greenlandic agency. I M. Jacobsen, U. P. Gad, & O. Wæver (red.), Greenland in Arctic Security: (De)securitization Dynamics under Climatic Thaw and Geopolitical Freeze (s. 196-226). University of Michigan Press.
In this book chapter from the anthology titled “Greenland in Arctic Security” (2024), Marc Jacobsen and Signe W. Lindbjerg analyse the effect in Danish discourse of the intensified great power interest in the Arctic. By comparing parliamentary debate discourses before and after Trump floated the idea of buying Greenland in 2019, the authors analyse how this has affected the way the relation between Greenland and Denmark is talked about in the Danish parliament.
