• Describe your job in 5 words

Has to be serious fun.

• What do you love most about what you do?

As the great Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard said: “the goal is nothing, the process is all”. I really like the process of research – developing an idea and pursue it - but I never walk the line if the goal isn´t  to provide people a better or longer life.

• How did you become involved in TeleGraft?

In another project years ago together with BIOMODICS and Thomas Emil Andersen at SDU, I got inspired by the drug eluting stents used in cardiac disease, and suggested that we explored the potential of developing a drug eluting graft using the innovative drug eluting polymer invented by BIOMODICS. We managed to create a promising prototype but ran out of money, and then succeeded in asking EU for help.

• What is the best thing about being part of TeleGraft?

Apart from my answer to what I love about my job, the insight and fun given to me by collaboration with people with complementary competencies.

I share hairdresser with my dog.
