Jessica Baier

Project manager
Odense Fjord Samarbejdet

Jessica is the project manager for the EU project ARCADIA, with a focus on the use of nature-based solutions in climate adaptation providing  general support and development of the secretariat and the working groups in the Odense Fjord Cooperation, one of the regional stakeholder for the project.

WHY ARCADIA?

I am thrilled to be part of the project team. I’ve only started in this position on May 1st, but I’ve already learned a lot about climate adaptation and water quality, where I previously worked with climate mitigation. My academic background is in political science and Human Security, so the mixture of political and environmental topics suits me very well. I really enjoy collaborating with the wide range of stakeholders and look forward to contributing to the necessary transformations in the Funen region.

WHY IS ARCADIA AN INTERESTING PROJECT TO BE A PART OF?

ARCADIA combines several of the topics we work with in Odense Fjord Samarbejdet, for example state-of-the-art research on nature-based solutions and a local network-approach. Through ARCADIA, it will be easier for us to access knowledge from other regions, which we can get inspired by in order to accelerate change. That’s why we’re delighted to be a part and are happy to share and learn together with the other partners.
