Short Summary

The aim of this study is to investigate the association of previous conditions or diseases (determined using the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10 code)) and osteoporotic fractures in the Danish population with the aim of ultimately developing tools for identifying and treating persons at high risk of sustaining their first major osteoporotic fracture.

Short Summary

ROSE is a randomised population-based study, including 20,904 Danish women aged 65-81 years, investigating the effectiveness of a two-step screening programme for osteoporosis, using a questionnaire based on FRAX® followed by DXA-scan. Further, the study is expected to provide knowledge about cost-effectiveness, patient preferences of screening programme to prevent fractures.

Short Summary

Complaints and compensation claims inform about health care quality from the user's (patient) perspective. Hence, they can be viewed as an indicator of dissatisfaction and shortcomings in health care provision and can inform initiatives to improve health care quality and patient safety. Analysing compensation claims and complaints systematically for health care improvement, is a constructive use of this information.

Et kohortestudie af unge danske mænd, der undersøger sammenhængen mellem forældres mentale helbred og kognitive testscore ved Forsvarets Dag. Projektet undersøger både betydningen af tidspunktet for forældrenes mentale helbredsproblemer og hvordan sammenhænge påvirkes af andre belastninger i barndommen.

Et dansk registerbaseret projekt, der undersøger, om traumer og skader under graviditeten er forbundet med øget risiko for neuroudviklingsforstyrrelser hos barnet, herunder cerebral parese. Projektet undersøger også risikofaktorer for skader i graviditeten samt mulige biologiske mekanismer i dyremodeller.

About the project

With demographic changes, increasing health care dependency ratios, and rising prevalence of comorbidities, innovative approaches are urgently needed to sustain equitable and high-quality care.
To address these critical challenges in osteoporosis care for the elderly, CHOICE will implement the fully automated clinical decision support system, FREM_ML, to predict imminent fracture risk.
