About the Focus Area
Writing and reading skills are both goals and tools for learning in other subjects and during leisure activities. In the long term, literacy skills are essential for learning, further education, and active social participation. Writing and reading abilities also support students' personal development and interactions with others, promoting social sustainability.
We approach texts through a broad understanding of the term, including both written texts and multimodal texts that incorporate, for example, images, tables, and diagrams. Each subject's texts are discipline-specific, making writing and reading relevant to all subjects, not just Danish.
