Quantum computing to business

Quantum computers hold enormous potential to revolutionise science and industry and to transform our society. The technology is developing rapidly, and the industry expects to achieve quantum advantage in specific use cases within the coming years. This development is driven by both public and private investments, including major tech companies and several well-funded quantum computing start-ups.

This programme will provide you with the right competencies to navigate the quantum landscape and gain a better understanding of the maturity of quantum computers – and what to look for when evaluating the technology and making investment decisions.

The main purpose of the programme is to educate investors, business leaders, and software engineers in quantum computing and provide them with valuable insights into the quantum ecosystem. The programme is taught by leading researchers in quantum mathematics and quantum computing from the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at the University of Southern Denmark.

You are invited to attend the next session starting 8 June 2026.

The programme will be tailored in 3 tracks:

Investors and business leaders (1-day course)

This course provides investors and business leaders with a high-level introduction to quantum technology, its business potential, and use cases. Participants will gain insights into quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum communication, and quantum sensing technologies.

Software developers (2-day course)

This course will provide an introduction for software developers to quantum technology and applications. The course offers participants insights into quantum computers, quantum software, and algorithms that create a strong foundation to dive into the self-study programme for software developers.

Self-study programme for software developers (6-10 weeks)

This self-study programme, which starts in May 2026, introduces quantum software and algorithms, including numerous hands-on exercises. It is designed for professionals already working as software developers. If you are new to quantum computing, we recommend starting the two-day course for developers to build a solid foundation before beginning the self-study programme. The self-study programme is now open for sign-up.
