The Centre for Quantum Mathematics (QM) is by 1 January 2021 changing affilliation within the SDU to the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA) at the Faculty of Science.

QM has until now been attached to the Mads Clausen Institute at the Faculty of Engineering.

I am very happy that the department chair Martin Svensson and subsequently the SDU leadership approved my request to move QM to IMADA. The affiliation to IMADA will assure the best possibilities for the centre – both in terms of funding applications, recruitments and teaching. We are extremely existed to become a part of IMADA and to develop QM in collaboration with Martin and IMADA into a world renowned elite center within the field of Quantum Mathematics

Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen, Professor, Centre Director and D-IAS Chair

When QM director Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen contacted me and asked me if I would support a move of QM to IMADA, I immediately said yes. This is a great opportunity for us and we very much welcome this new center dedicated to Quantum Mathematics here at IMADA and we look forward to developing this world elite initiative jointly with Jørgen

Martin Svensson, Head of Department

All centre employees  as well as all activities are included in the move of QM, which will be both physical into new offices at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science as well as on the organisational level.
