Matthias Wilhelm is a theoretical physicist and Associate Professor at the Center for Quantum Mathematics (QM), part of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA). His research areas include Theoretical Particle Physics and Gravity, Quantum Field Theory, and Scattering amplitudes. To learn more about his research, you can visit the webpage of the Scattering Amplitudes Group that he is leading.
Before joining SDU, Wilhelm conducted research at the Niels Bohr Institute and earned his PhD in physics from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
Wilhelm’s research is supported by a Villum Young Investigator Grant (2019), and in 2024 he received the DFF: Sapere Aude Starting Grant.
As a student, you may encounter Matthias Wilhelm as the lecturer in the course QC801: Introduction to Quantum Computing.
