New CDAI report

How do Danes' digital understanding, digital skills, and digital safety relate to one another, and to what extent are they connected to Danes' trust in algorithms?

These are the questions that we have investigated in the first part of the 'Citizens, Digitalisation, and AI (CDAI)' project. Our interest in this topic stems from the fact that all three components are important democratic virtues in contemporary society. Digital literacy and safety are crucial in order to actively participate in contemporary society and to protect oneself from issues such as fake news, disinformation, and cyber threats.

The results of this investigation are presented in the recently published Danish report, 'Danskernes digitale forståelse, digitale kompetencer og digitale adfærd', which highlights significant disparities in the levels of digital literacy and digital safety among Danes. The report also sheds light on digital inequality and Danes' trust in algorithms.
