IRS has a large and thriving interdisciplinary research environment that we are proud of.
Our researchers come from a wide range of professional backgrounds – from doctors, nurses and physiotherapists to pharmacists, chiropractors and many other professions. Each brings their own expertise to help strengthen patient-centred research and improve entire patient pathways across sectors and medical specialties.
The department supports research that takes a whole-person perspective, focusing on entire patient pathways across sectors, hospitals and disciplines.
The IRS Research Strategy 2026–2030 helps set the direction for the department’s overall research activities and provides a common thread that connects our many activities and areas of expertise.
