IRS is not a single physical location, but a community characterised by openness, collaboration and a strong commitment to supporting both individual research careers and sustainable research environments. We foster relationships – between researchers, between hospitals and between the university and clinical practice – because it is precisely this collaboration that leads to solutions that make a real difference.
IRS employs researchers at 11 different hospitals across the Region of Southern Denmark, Zealand, and the Capital Region, with staff based at an even greater number of locations.
This geographical spread is a clear reflection of the quality of IRS’s work and achievements in research and education. It also raises the profile and visibility of IRS and strengthens its professional and academic expertise. This inspires the entire IRS community and creates fertile ground for new academic achievements and innovation.
